CHAPTER 01 / CAPILANO
The crossing. The trees. The people you went with. Some places are made of all three.
Kyoto after rain. Capilano among the trees. San Francisco by the water.
Different journeys. Your own way back.
A narrow wooden crossing, a deep forest below, and suspension cables disappearing into the trees. The long perspective in your photograph becomes the heart of this miniature world.

Some moments deserve more than a place in your camera roll. A childhood kitchen. A summer by the lake. An ordinary afternoon with someone you love. Orbis starts with travel, but the idea is personal: a new way to return to the moments that shaped you.
Photos and videos would become the starting points for a simpler world, shaped by the details only you remember.
Explore a moment, then phase into the next environment as its story is completed. A journey with a beginning and an end, at your own pace.
At the end, the vision is to share the whole simulation with a URL, so someone else can walk the story too.
Product direction: automatic photo and video reconstruction, story-driven transitions, and user-created simulation sharing are planned concepts. The worlds above are authored examples you can explore in your browser, without a headset.
